How To Gain Muscle Fast: Build Your Foundation First!

I’d like to know….

Since you started your muscle building workout, have you managed to pack on 15-25 pounds of good, muscular body weight?

When you perform the major compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, and rows, are you working with heavy poundages?

On your major muscle groups, have you added at least a few inches or more?

Do your clothes feel a lot tighter? Have you gotten comments from your friends or family on your changing body? Have people started to openly envy your muscular body?

If you were saying “no” to some of these questions, you still have quite a bit of work ahead of you before you get into the smaller details of your physique.

I am a well known muscle building author and every day I get emails from aspiring natural bodybuilders from all parts of the world asking how to gain muscle fast. Usually, they ask me things like….

“What should I do to target my inner chest muscles?”. ”
“I want to build up my lower biceps, any suggestions?”. ”
“My rear delts are not as pronounced as my front delts. What do you suggest?”. ”

When you are still a bodybuilding “youngster”, it’s not the time to focus on these aspects of how to gain muscle fast; instead you should focus on building up your overall muscle mass.

I’ll tell you why….

You need to stick to the main goal and not let these minor issues distract you.

What is most important thing to focus on right now?

Get as much raw muscle size and strength onto your body as possible!

Look, it’s not about whether your biceps match your triceps or whether your chest is at par with your back. You should not put your mind on detail work until you’ve thickened up your whole body to a noticeable degree.

Basically, if you have just gotten into bodybuilding less than a year ago, don’t even think about these details. Instead, you need to think about how to gain muscle fast by focusing on the basic issues…

Stick to a sensible, rational weight training schedule and keep at it.

Log down the details of every workout and use all of your energy to add more weight to the bar every week, on a steady basis.

You need to focus on the biggest, hardest compound exercises and push through them with total intensity.

You need to bust a move to the kitchen and eat at least five or six meals that are designed for muscle building each and every day of the year, without fail.

Your health regiment needs to be—drink enough water, get sufficient sleep, and always take your supplements.

Nothing in life is free, so you have to PAY YOUR DUES!

The only way to achieve success is to prepare for the long haul (there are no shortcuts), so create a path that you can follow long term. You need to start with a strong foundation built around how to gain muscle fast and then worry about all the little details.

This is the mindset required for a successful bodybuilding program. Think of it like this: if you played guitar, you wouldn’t expect to play a complex solo without learning the basic chords first; similarly, you shouldn’t fine-tune and balance out your physique until you already have managed to rack up some serious muscle to work with.

If you study the principles behind how to gain muscle fast, you will realize that it’s not brain surgery, but it does take willpower and hard work. Not until you’ve been “in the trenches” and done everything you can to get yourself that impressive and muscular physique…

Don’t waste time over-analyzing… Stop worrying about the finer points of how to gain muscle fast… Stop diverting your focus to every little detail and wondering how to correct it….

You should just be in the gym, doing the WORK!
