It seems logical to look for tips for bodybuilding in muscle magazines, particularly if you want to be a bodybuilder, right?
Well, maybe not.
In truth, bodybuilding magazines are perhaps the worst sources for unbiased information regarding bodybuilding.
Nearly half of all the information pertaining to bodybuilding that is found in these magazines is actually advertising; in addition, they mostly provide incorrect tips for bodybuilding.
These magazines feature people who are genetic freaks, able to bulk up on just about anything.
In addition, these magazines provide tips for bodybuilding that are targeted at advanced bodybuilders; they are not suited to the 99 percent of us who are simply human and need to pay closer attention to our programs.
When I say this, I don’t mean that all tips for bodybuilding are bad.
Supplementation plays an equally important role, especially when it comes to supplements such as creatine, protein, glutamine, and EFAs.
These are safe and effective supplements, even for the average bodybuilder.
On the other hand, it’s just wrong and dangerous to go with supplements that include growth hormones and steroids; these are not suitable for the conscientious bodybuilder.
Believe me when I tell you that the sculpted men and women in these mags did not achieve this look by consuming the worthless products endorsed by the mags.
In fact, their look has been artificially improved, and you get a false sense of what you should look like by reading about them or looking at their pictures.
You don’t need to buy every supplement that promises “massive muscle gains” and waste your hard earned money on it in order to build a good body.
Almost half of the total volume of these mags comprises advertisements; why would you want to waste your money on buying them?
Even the articles and tips for bodybuilding in these magazines are mostly just a ploy to get you to buy their product.
Most of the advertisements, even those disguised as tips for bodybuilding, do not provide any unbiased advice and information; in fact, they are plain useless.
Many tips for bodybuilding will tell you that the bigger you are the better, because bodybuilding is a sport where more is usually better.
But keep in mind that many of the models in these magazines have pushed their bodies beyond all health and safety limits.
Following these impractical tips for bodybuilding is not going to help you achieve any real muscular gain, unless you’re also a genetic freak.
To make matters worse, these bodybuilding mags contain some tips that are downright wrong and can lead to serious injury.
The truth is that you don’t have to blow up thousands of dollars just to achieve your dream body.
All that is required is a little hard work, dedication, proper planning, and motivation.
Regular exercise, proper nutrition, and sufficient sleep are all that most people need to effectively and normally build their bodies.
